About Us

Castle Towers is the centrepiece of the Castle Hill trading precinct. The centre was constructed in 1982 and has been significantly upgraded and extended to be one of Australia’s largest and most productive shopping centres. The centre is the first choice retail destination for Hills district locals who enjoy the relaxed one stop retail, leisure and entertainment environment.

History
Castle Towers opened in 1982 with majors Kmart, Coles and Norman Ross. The centre was expanded to include David Jones and Franklins in 1991. In 1993, the Event Cinemas site (formerly Greater Union), was launched and Target replaced Norman Ross. In 1999, the second Event Cinemas site opened, as well as 44 specialty retailers including The Piazza restaurant precinct. In 2000, Target and David Jones launched their extensions with the addition of Bi-Lo and a further 76 stores. In 2001 a two level Grace Bros (now Myer) opened together with our upmarket fashion precinct including 34 retailers. In 2009 some great additions have joined the centre mix, including a whole new level of Myer on Lower Level with homewares, furniture and electrical, Max Brenner Chocolate Bar, Bed Bath N' Table, MIMCO, Rebel Sport with more to come!
