In anticipation for the Easter bunny’s arrival, it’s time to get crafty. Making your own Easter hat is an annual tradition, and this simple bunny design is an easy craft project your little ones can make on their own. What are you waiting for? Hop to it!

What you'll need

  • A range of pastel cardboard
  • A dinner plate
  • Lead pencils
  • Safety scissors
  • Sticky tape
  • Glue stick
  • Hole punch
  • Black marker
  • Heart stickers
  • String
  • Fluffy balls
  • Sticky notes
  • A stapler

How to make Easter bunny hats

Step 1. Cut a circle out of a piece of pastel cardboard by tracing around a dinner plate. Cut the circle in half and fold it to form a cone, using sticky tape to seal.

Step 2. To create a nose, use a heart-shaped sticker. Cut thin pieces of card (or sticky notes) to make the whiskers. For the eyes, use a hole punch to create two small circles. Stick these on with a glue stick.

Step 3. Cut out bunny ears and staple onto the back of the cone. Bend one ear over. Draw on a bunny mouth with a black marker. Glue on a fluffy bunny tail.

Step 4. Staple a piece of string to the bottom sides of the bunny face.
