With Spring well and truely here, it’s time to put away the jumpers, scarves and woolen knits. For those of us who enjoy the warmer months, we are jumping for joy. Spring is one of my favourite seasons because it’s a great time to update the wardrobe and add a couple of garments with shorter hem lines. It’s a time of fresh starts and new beginnings!
The most important question I ask at this time of year is, what are we going to be wearing this Spring?
Kookai is a well know Australian owned brand that offers a great variety of fashion pieces. Their garments are always high quality and last between seasons with great wear-ability. The brand is defined by an essence of femininity, confidence, allure and independent style.
I like to be fun and playful with my clothes because after all fashion is about expressing yourself. My top picks for the season are the Blair bodysuit, Bahama Jacquard dress, Blossom mini skirt, classic Tyson blazer and Allegro long sleeve dress.
One of the biggest trends coming into this season is floral. Why I love florals so much is because you can wear them day or night, you can be super girly or edgy. It really just depends on the design and what suits your personal style. I know, I know. Florals for spring, so original. But they never get old! The pieces I fell in love with are the Blossom mini skirt and Allegro long sleeve dress. They are both very different floral designs. The long sleeve works well for the those in between cooler nights with a gorgeous back detailing.
With Spring racing around the corner, this dress would be the perfect piece to style with a nude heel and matching fascinator and clutch. The floral skirt is the perfect versatile piece, you can add a pair of heels and dress it up for a night on the town or pair back with flats and a camisole for brunch with the girls.
The stripe dress is the perfect date outfit, the pink and orange stripes make the dress pop. Pair it with a tee underneath and some sneakers for a more casual day look. The light weight blazer is perfect to get you through the cooler in between nights and looks perfect whether it is with dress or a tee and jeans.
I hope I have inspired everyone to spring into Kookai to buy some new pieces to update their wardrobe. No matter what trend you end up wearing from Kookai, I’m sure you will walk out feeling amazing!
