School Holiday Roller Derby at Castle Towers

Published on 25 September 2017

Mum, I’m bored!” Three annoying little words you’re almost guaranteed to hear during the school holidays, and the warning signs of a slow unravelling. Can you relate? We get it. The continual pressure of keeping the little ones entertained during the school holidays can be challenging. Never fear, we’ve got the solution…the Castle Towers Roller Derby.

Get the kids ready to roll back in time these school holidays from Monday the 25th September until Sunday the 8th October at our very own roller rink. It’s 80s feature films brought to life with disco balls, great tunes and delicious, wholesome snacks. Mum and Dad… no blame (or shame) if you’re compelled to recreate one of your favourite scenes from Xanadu.

Phoar! All that skating has worked up an appetite? Good thing there is a morsel to satisfy every tastebud at The Piazza.

For those looking to keep in the retro theme, a meal at Hog’s Breath is a must. The diner styled restaurant promises a fun and lively atmosphere. They’ve got something for even the fussiest of eaters with a deliciously moreish menu that covers everything from kid’s steaks, burgers, to nuggets, pastas and those famous curly fries. We repeat: curly fries!

Lunch has gone down a treat, and let’s face it, there’s always room for dessert. Head down to Max Brenner where playing with food is totally acceptable. We’d suggest the fantastic popsicle fondue. Dip delicious vanilla flavoured ice cream popsicles into pure melted chocolate, choco-pops, sprinkles and candied hazelnut crunchy. We like to call it ice-cream art.

Traditional doesn’t tickle your fancy? Refuel with one of the many satisfying cuisines within arm’s reach such as Criniti’s hearty Italian spread, Kinn’s flavoursome Thai spread or Enigma’s famous Greek shares.

The Castle Towers Roller Rink will be located on level 3 near Surf, Dive & Ski from Monday the 25th September until Sunday the 8th October with tickets priced at five dollars each. Tickets and session times are available on our website:
