Salivating Snaps: From the Lips of a Food Blogger

Published on 30 September 2017 by Castle Towers

Food bloggers, you may have spotted them atop a chair leaning over for the perfect food flat-lay, but what's really behind the salivating snaps?

Teaming with foodies, it comes as no surprise that The Hills is home to some prolific food bloggers who frequent The Piazza for its variety of flavoursome cuisines.

Two of our favourite local bloggers, Ningja Eats (@ningjaeats) and The Fat Couple (@thefatcouple) have over 30,000 Instagram followers between them and dished up their experiences at dining hot spots at The Piazza.

Ningja Eats visits Enigma at the Piazza

Ningja (can we call you that?!), you visit venues across the country, what’s special about eating and drinking at Castle Towers?

Being a local based in the area, I’ve seen Castle Towers grow into a foodie destination with so many options available. Enigma at the Piazza would be one of my top picks for a special occasion or a casual catch-up. It’s elegant decor creates a soothing and vibrant atmosphere, complemented by lively staff and delicious food, of course.

What’s your favourite dish at Enigma?

It’s got to be the seafood hotpot - saucy, steamy, spicy and simply delicious. With mussels, squid, lobster tail and more, every ingredient is cooked with a technique that I’ve only seen in some of the best restaurants in Sydney. Drenched in aromatic sauces, the spicy kick helps breakdown the richness from the seafood textures, making it an extremely satisfying and well-balanced dish.

The Fat Couple dine at Urban Kitchen and Grill

Guys, tell us about what you love about The Piazza. PS. you’re thinner than we expected!

The dining experience is super ‘chill’, particularly during lunch. We visited Urban Kitchen and Grill, sat outside and soaked up the sunshine. It's a place where you can easily lose track of time, where lunch slides seamlessly into dinner, and before you know it, it’s time for a night cap!

We would highly recommend a food safari at The Piazza. Start somewhere for entrées, and roam between each restaurant for your next courses, until dessert!

PS. Shucks, thanks….

What was your favourite dish at Urban Kitchen & Grill?

Definitely the Hills District Burger! A grass-fed patty, caramelised onion, bacon cheese and their signature house sauce. The patty was cooked to perfection - so juicy! and that sauce - omg! If I could describe it in a hash tag it would be #sorrynotsorry

I’d highly recommend pairing with a house made iced tea! Tasted as pretty as they looked!

Open until 10pm every night, The Piazza at Castle Towers has you covered for insta-worthy food shots that will make your followers green with food envy!
