Castle Towers Ticketless Parking

From 1 August 2017 the installation of Castle Towers’ state-of-the-art ticketless parking system commenced with the aim to make it easier for customers to park and to connect with Castle Towers retailers and to ensure entry to and exit from the car park is smooth, through the use of licence plate recognition to track parking without the need for a ticket.

Parking will be FREE for customers who visit for 3 hours or less, or who enter the Centre after 6pm.

Event Cinemas Customers will receive an additional hour free, when presenting their cinema ticket barcode to scan at the pay stations before exiting the Centre.

Customers who have a valid disability parking permit will also receive free parking. Please see our Customer Service Team, located on Level 3, opposite the store Cue during trade hours to complete your registration.

Customers with a valid Seniors card will receive 4 hours free parking. Please see our Customer Service Team, located on Level 3, opposite the store Cue during trade hours to complete your registration.

Castle Towers customers can register their credit card details securely on the Castle Towers website to set up an account for 'set and forget' parking, similar to an e-toll, for a truly effortless shopping experience.

1. Visit parking.castletowers.com.au
2. Select 'Sign up'
3. Fill in your Personal details. Note - all fields are mandatory
4. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions
5. Select 'Next Step'
6. Enter your Vehicle details
7. Enter relevant Payment details and Notification choices. If you do not want automatic top-up from your account, please deselect the checkbox. Select 'Next step'
8. Enter Card details. Note - all fields are mandatory
9. Confirm all your details are correct and select 'Confirm'
10. Once completed, a confirmation email will be sent to your submitted email address advising that your details have been approved. Please note your password will need to be changed when you next login to parking.castletowers.com.au

Ticketless Parking Q & A's

The aim of our ticketless parking system is to make it easier for customers to park and connect with Castle Towers retailers.

The technology of the new system will ensure entry to and exit from the car park will be smooth, through the use of licence plate recognition to track parking without the need for a ticket.

How does it work?

Ticketless parking uses licence plate recognition to track parking without the need for a paper ticket, providing a streamlined entry and exit system for Castle Towers customer.

On entry, a camera will recognise licence plate details .Vehicles will not be required to stop as tickets will not be issued.

Upon exiting, customers will stop at the boom gates while the camera scans the licence plate details and calculates the time spent and if any costs are incurred. If customers have been under 3 hours, the boom gates will automatically open and no action is required.

Customers who have paid or scanned a validation bar code for an additional free hour can also proceed directly to the boom gates, which will automatically open. If payment is required, a credit card can be scanned at the boom gates, however it is advised to check and pay at pay stations where possible.

How much will it cost to park at Castle Towers?

Once managed parking is introduced, the first three hours will remain free, as will parking for customers who enter our facilities after 6pm.

Cinema patrons will be able to access an additional hour of free parking upon validation.

Independent data and analysis of our customers shopping behaviour anticipates less than 10% of our guests will pay for parking.

Once the system is activated, rates for parking will be as follows:

Maximum daily rate $40

How can I pay for my parking?

Any customers who have parked for less than three hours will not be required to pay for parking, and can proceed directly to the exit. The ticketless payment system will recognise your vehicle’s licence plate and the boom gate will open automatically.

If required, payment for parking will be able to be made:

• at car park exit barriers using a credit card
• at pay stations located at car park entrances via cash or credit card*
• via automatic charge to a credit card by registering online at parking.castletowers.com.au

What do I do if I visit more than once a day?

You are entitled to 3 hours free parking on your first entry into the car park. When returning to the car park in the same day you will only receive an additional 3 hours free parking if your time of car park entry is more than 1.5 hours after your previous car park exit.

If I register online, will my licence plate and credit card number be kept secure?

Yes, Castle Towers will keep all personal details secure in accordance with our privacy policy, which can be found on our website or on request from our Customer Services team.

This policy adheres with Australia’s Privacy Act.

Will there be staff to help in the car park?

The car park will be managed for 24 hours a day by staff that can assist Castle Towers customers. Every exit will have a call button to contact a staff member for assistance.
